Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our faith community

  • Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe means to accept that Jesus was the Son of God, To accept that he was crucified on the cross for YOUR sins. Accept that He rose from the dead after three days and is now sitting on the right hand of His Father in heaven. Admit you are a sinner; hey the Bible says that we all have sinned so don't take this as we are singling you out. Admit that you have failed to live right and you need Jesus to come into your heart to help direct your life.

  • You first must have become a Christian to become a member. We highly suggest, but not a rule, that you be baptized in water. Begin attending services as regularly as possible. After you have attended for a while avail yourself by offering to become a helper for some of the activities we have. You will get to know us and we will get to know you. Becoming a member is like becoming a part of a family. You should learn the tenets of faith and agree to adhere to them. We are a Pentecostal church and believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in unknown tongues.

Then after you feel comfortable with us talk to one of the staff about your desire to become a member. We will be offering a New Member Class each quarter so that you will know what our church believes and what our foundations of faith are. Upon completion of this class the pastor will, at his scheduled time, notify people that a certain Sunday will be membership Sunday. At that time, you will be called to the front of the church to be recognized by the congregation and welcomed into the church.

  • Christ, himself, said that He came to serve, not to be served. We are to follow His examples in all aspects of our lives. The old saying, "it's better to give than to receive" follows closely with the idea of serving in the church. The joy YOU feel when you help someone else is tremendous. It helps you feel better about yourself along with lifting the spirits of the one in need. There is no other joy than that of seeing the happy tears of someone that you have helped meet their need.

  • The church is important for its spiritual and social roles. Spiritually, it provides a place for worship, prayer, and deepening one's relationship with God. Socially, it builds community, offers support, and engages in charitable activities. Thus, the church nurtures spiritual well-being and strengthens community bonds.
